VGG is a classical convolutional neural network architecture. It was based on an analysis of how to increase the depth of such networks. The network utilises small 3 x 3 filters. VeryGoodGraphics (VGG) is the next-gen vector graphics and embeddable cross-platform UI framework that advocates the Design-as-Code paradigm. The Design-as-Code paradigm enables developers to leverage any design drafts as the starting point for UI development by treating them as a type of vector graphics resource.

The key difference is that VGG consists of blocks of layers, whereas AlexNet’s layers are all designed individually. The convolutional part of the network connects several VGG blocks from Fig. 8.2.1 (also defined in the vgg_block function) in succession.
