Instead of using mechanical movements for watch builds, I wanted to use quartz movements like the Seiko VH31 and Miyota 2115. Since both quartz movements are similar is size and shape, this casing ring will fit both of them.

2024年12月23日 · Unironically by modding a replica with the VH31 movement you're probably going to make it more unreliable. At the bare minimum it'll be some dial snipping, broaching hands or finding hands to fit the movement, casework or 3d printed plastic ring, swapping crown to VH31 stem, it's complicated and will take time and cost you money

2022年1月5日 · The fit is a little complicated. I’ve made this mod work with two different dials and two different Seiko cases. I used a SKX movement ring, this i stuck onto the dial feet. Next i used 3m strips to stick the movement to the bottom of the dial, making sure to center the movement, properly line up the movement with where the stem needs to go.
