The issue is that I want the old phone in another room and I don't want to extend the phone cable to this room from the router. Can homeplugs be used to extend the phone from the RJ11 socket on the router? Setup would be like this: RJ11 to RJ45 adapter plugged into the router then an RJ45 cable going from that adapter into the powerline sender.

Alternatively, you must have a filter fitted on any of the phone sockets, master and extension, that you connect any phone or modem.

2021年5月22日 · Which virgin broadband hub do you currently have? The superhub 3 and 4 have sockets for a phone. However they are RJ11 sockets, so they might just mean that they need to send you a little RJ11 to BT socket dongle. There's nothing more to their VoIP service than that.

VM does not offer VoIP, all they are doing is wiring users current telephone through their hubs rather than a directly wired connection. If you want true VoIP you must buy a plan from someone else. The part was an adaptor to go into the router and the phone connected into that. So that why I thought VM would be supplying the adaptor.
