If it goes End of Sale that generally just means you can’t buy new controller systems, but can still get spare parts/service for 3-5 years from the announcement, and can buy additional shelf’s/disks for at least another 2-3 years with a big “Last Call on drives” from the sales rep’s before they kill it.
