2020年10月14日 · Short answer is: no one knows. Never played BG1/2, but he also is in the campaign module Tomb of Annihilation which takes place in 1490 DR. The first Baldur's Gate in which he also apparently shows up, already seeming 30 years old, takes place in 1368 DR (so BG3 takes ~1468 place).

There's only one Volothamp Geddarm, the singular Volo who made all the Volo's Guides to the Realms. However, some people (like Marco Volo) have stolen his name, so it could be a possibility?

2021年10月1日 · You can get the Ersatz Eye in one of two ways. One letting Volo gouge your real eye out in camp trying to remove the tadpole, or two pick pocketing it off him. The first opportunity to steal it is at the Druids Grove. The first time you enter the circle Volo is there talking to a bear.
