Völsung (Old Norse: Vǫlsungr [ˈvɔlsuŋɡr̩], Old English: Wæls) is a figure in Germanic mythology, where he is the eponymous ancestor of the Völsung family (Old Norse: Vǫlsungar, Old English: Wælsings), which includes the hero Sigurð.
