They were meant as a owner operator heavy haul truck available with 625 horse and 2250 torque, a 625 c-16 cat only puts out 2050 torque so that's impressive, to handle that power eaton custom designed a rtlo22918b transmission to handle it.

2016年1月15日 · The volvo 880 came with the optional D16 625 horse 2250 torque engine which tops cats 625 2050 c15 and because of this eaton fuller even made a special transmission specifically for this truck (with that rating) rtlo22918b. Truck is a pulling beast although some otr guys have complained the truck was very heavy on the front end.

2007年10月23日 · I have a 2007 Volvo 880. (in my album are some pictures) I bought it used a little. And it is doing something funny. I fidn that it is giving me an average of around 6.5 per then gallon but on the dash it shows me 7.5 per the gallon. I dont get it. its taking more fuel then it says. WHAT DO I DO!!!

2013年6月29日 · Last I saw was 08. The 880 was built as a o/o spec truck. Volvos answer to the western love for the long hood. As stated it is basically a 780 but with a long square hood. The best part of the 880 is the d16 could go up to 625 horse putting out 2250 torque. A 625 c16 cat only puts out 2050 torque so it's impressive.

2009年9月15日 · The problem will more than likely be the trucks weight. With me, my gear, and 3/4 tanks the 07 880 that I had tipped the scales at 25,900. However, I LOVED that truck. I did not have any issues with it at all. I did have the I-Shift transmission and the 550hp D-16, but I am pretty sure I had a 77 inch sleeper and an APU.

2015年7月22日 · I have a Volvo vt 880, my headlights will not turn off , even with the key out of the ignition,. On my message board it says light control module fail. Has Anybody had this problem and how hard is it to change the module.?

2008年2月6日 · I work here at a local Volvo and these new Volvo engines including the D16 are all having turbo, injector, injector sleeves, heads, and piston problems. The minor stuff is egr valves, breaking exhaust bolts, breaking intake bolts, and multiple oil leaks including the cam position sensor, injector harness, valve cover, and oil filter housing.
