2015年8月24日 · Not sure your specific issue, but the battery in our W211 was recently load tested - since we have experienced a completely random mess of red messages while driving. Come to find out, the battery terminal wasn't properly fastened and was just barely loose. Pushing it completely on and tightening has resolved the issue. It is at least worth a look.

2025年1月10日 · It appears that the red "Battery! Visit Workshop" warning on the display was appearing due to a code that was set when the Aux battery began to go bad and voltage went below spec. Cleared the code and the warning on the display is gone and has not come back after about 500 miles of driving the car.

2015年2月8日 · If it is a newer style alternator, there is a wire that goes to the engine control unit so the control unit and control charging.. if that wire is broken or a cheap voltage regulator installed, you will get these codes.. Also, what is the charging voltage at the rear main battery??

Some Mercedes Benz models such as the E Class or the CLS Class have a secondary battery. This is a smaller 12 volt auxiliary battery that is used as back up. The system also checks the voltage of this battery and if it is lower than 12.6 volts you will get the error on your dashboard.
