The W86 was an American earth-penetrating ("bunker buster") nuclear warhead, intended for use on the Pershing II intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM). The W86 design was canceled in September 1980 when the Pershing II missile mission shifted from destroying hardened targets to targeting soft targets at greater range.

The W-86, on the other hand, remains well within that ballpark, with a near-identical lug to lug size and only a marginal increase in the thickness and width, resulting in a similar on-wrist experience.

2020年7月25日 · The main difference between the two is that the W86 lights up green (Some say its blue / turquoise), and the F105 (F-105w-1a) lights up blue. They also each have a green (W-86) and blue face (F-105) design.

2023年5月31日 · Yeah I feel like w86 is the better choice, especially for males with a larger wrist. And the teal accents giving it that modern edge. But the f91 is a classic and instantly recognisable so can't go wrong with that! I've seen people with huge wrists wear it and it still doesn't look off (even though it kind of does).

I have recently been searching for Casio W-86 and its unavailable or out of stock everywhere, like Amazon or other online shopping platforms. OR. Has it been discontinued? I really want to add this to my collection as this was my very first watch, digital watch. Made with in Denver, CO.

It feels a little more 80s too due to the slightly different dial. The buttons are a tad bigger, display more crisp. W-86 (given to my brother in law now) is also wonderful, but a little more quirky with that turquoise colour. I also didn't prefer the full on heavy blue light on it.

The W86 is a mortar of Chinese origin. It was developed to replace the older Type 55 in Chinese service, but it is unknown if it was adopted. The W86 is a smoothbore mortar which is more modern and lighter than the previous Type 55. It features a recoil buffer that is wrapped around the barrel as with the 81mm W87 mortar.
