2012年6月10日 · The WAA12-RED wad fit them fine, for both 1-1/8oz and 1¼oz if you wanted to roll-crimp. If you shoot ducks & geese, the RED wad is a treat for 1-1/8oz of Bismuth, ITX or Nice Shot. They are good & useful wads, and if you want to trade them, the games shooters love them.
Difference between WAA 12 wads and WAA12sl 's
2017年9月1日 · The AAHS hull loads a bit differently and takes a wad with a shorter crush section than the Rem hulls or the old AACF hulls. If you use a regular 1 oz. wad, you will run into stack height problems. The 2 conventional ways to reduce the stack height are to use the DRA12 wads or to use a wad designed to hold 1/ 8 oz more shot than you are dropping.
Help me understand CB1118 vs WAA12 - Trapshooters Forum
2017年5月10日 · Although the CB1118-12 and WAA12 wads are virtually identical in dimensions and both load the same in the intended hulls, the plastic composition is not the same. If you compare published data using the same components with only the wad change between the two, in most cases the CB1118-12 will generate slightly less pressure for the same powder ...
AA Wads- Difference Between WAA12 & WT12 - Trapshooters …
2009年8月13日 · The two wads are not identical, but close. The WT-12 is an economy wad and you usually get what you pay for. The plastic does not seem to be as good as the WAA12. I've tested them in cold weather simulations and found the velocities of the WT12 vary more than the WAA12 at colder temps.
AA HS hulls, Waa12 wads, Clays powder | Trapshooters Forum
2018年1月21日 · That would make the wad you're using the same length as the white DR-118... about 1/16" taller than the DRA-12, 1 1/8 oz wad. The DRA-12 wads are the wads I use for both 1 oz and 1 1/8 oz loads with Clay Dot powder in AA HS hulls. The crimps stay closed without additional wad pressure. The shorter wad may be your answer.
STS Hulls, WAA12 or clone wads 1 1/8 ounces - Trapshooters Forum
2021年6月19日 · With things being what they are these days, what other powder has a similar stack height and performance of Clays in STS hulls, WAA12 wads or clones, and 1 1/8 ounce load? I will run out of Clays soon, and while I still have ample powder for my AAHS favorite recipe, I was hoping to keep my eye open for an alternative, and snag a few jugs should ...
WAA12 wads - Trapshooters Forum
2024年11月9日 · To me, the Winchester wads are actually better in terms of the plastic left less fouling and the ease of getting them through the wad guides. Stiffer and better plastic. But...not enough better for me to pay the difference any more. Edit: The plastic used in the Claybusters 20 gauge wads seems different from that in the gray 12 gauge wads.
WAA12 or Figure 8 wads? - Trapshooters Forum
2010年10月8日 · I used the WAA12 wad for many years, then I was forced to make the switch to Remington. Many of the WAA12 wads petals were folded inward (about 23% of the bag). This isnt a problem on a MEC as you place the wad up into the tube as you pull the handle< but I load on a ponsness press and you place the wad in a holder.

Crimp question - Trapshooters Forum
2025年1月21日 · Use a 1 oz. version of the WAA12, the WAA12SL, or a clone thereof, such as the Green Duster from DR. A 1 oz. wad will have a taller crush section than the 1 1/8 oz wad. This will bring the stack height up and give better support for the crimp.
