2020年11月20日 · Way back when, Bristol county could receive (and still does) OTA broadcasting from boston, providing two different sources for network programming. When cable TV kicked in, the local cable companies carried both Boston and Providence. That's why we have (had?) access both. There is no "local" cable company anymore, only regional behemoths.

2020年11月20日 · WCVB has "significantly viewed" status in Bristol County. This isn't a matter of WLNE in Providence trying to force WCVB off the lineup. Since WCVB is considered "significantly viewed" per the FCC, the channel here can be carried on cable without any restrictions or blocking of network programming.

These channels have always been available on this TV before but now are gone for some reason. If I try to click on them, I get a message "Please connect to your in-home WiFi". This only happens on this one TV.

2023年9月8日 · A little confusing in Boston. From what I see, WFXT (Fox 25) carries Comet, LAFF, Bounce, Get TV. MeTV is carried by WCVB (ABC 5). This is info from Wikipedia and the channel web site station finders, so not sure just how up to date it is. It's probably not a carriage issue as WFXT is owned by Cox, and WCVB is owned by Hearst.
