May 4, 2022 · Okay, this version of the H-9 you're seeing represents its original form when it left the Baldwin factory in April 1921; so if you are a WM H-9 lover you will see many similar or different details when WM itself modified them.

The eighteen engines in this class were retired over a 17-year period from 1927 to 1944. Several -- 501, 506-507, 509, 513, 518 -- were sold in 1930 to the Greenbrier, Cheat & Elk logging road (then a part of the Western Maryland) as 124, 120-121, 125, 123, and 122, respectively. The WM got them back in 1934 with their original numbers.

Dec 21, 2014 · Not trying to put down the creators, but WM locomotives are distinctive enough to make stand-ins difficult. I figure my H9 and eventual K2 (or that K1 skin for now), Steve's 734 as a substitute H7b, and maybe an I1 would allow a pretty good representation of the Thomas sub.

Dec 29, 2024 · Using Legotrainman's Logos and Deco mod, and Plague Doctor's Western Maryland H9 mod, I've liveried the H-9 into the proper Western Maryland "Fireball" paint scheme. Includes accurate builders plate decals, "Safety First" labels, and proper tender capacity data.
