Sep 20, 2022 · That appears to be the case. My BGOS is you may get in to hot water if anything you are doing could have a whiff of hunting. If it’s fairly clear you aren’t, probably okay. Though it doesn’t mean an NPR officer won’t think WMA are off limits even with a carry permit. But I’d think and hope less of a problem.

My limited understanding is that WMAs are not considered parks or forests of Maryland, where carry is otherwise prohibited (except the exception for bow hunting in Western Maryland, or if hunting with the firearm in the appropriate season).
