The Warehouse Receipt System (WRS) Council is a government body established to regulate and promote the warehouse receipt system in Kenya. This system enables farmers, traders, and other market players to store their agricultural produce in certified warehouses and receive a warehouse receipt as proof of ownership.

The WRS Council is a Regulator in the Ministry of Investment, Trade & Industry established under Section 3 of the Warehouse Receipt System Act No. 8 of 2019 to develop and regulate the Warehouse Receipt System for structured trade in agricultural commodities produced in Kenya.
