Attempted roster shot of the WSOR 103 looking unfortunately into the sun on this early Saturday morning. A bit surprising to see this car here. It appeared in a video of the 1996 WSOR Circus Train found on a Plets Express DVD, and my dad caught it on video in August of 2010 passing through Rio on thg Amtrak #8 Empire Builder.

WSOR numbered it 10A before renumbering it 103 to prepare for the arrival of the B-unit. This was originally Milwaukee Road 32A (renumbered from 202A) and would have served pulling the famous Hiawatha passenger trains starting in 1956. WSOR numbered it 10C before renumbering it 101 to prepare for the arrival of the B-unit.

Here's a shot of the newly renumbered WSOR 10A--now WSOR 103 at the Johnson St. yard in Madison. Not only did it get a new number, but also added were ditch lights (never had em before), and a more conventional plow (replacing the snow plow that was on it).

2011年1月18日 · I bought myself a Aristocraft Amtrak E8/9 with the intentions of turning it into the 3rd WSOR executive E unit. 103 was the easiest to model with the aristo e8, since they are relatively close to begin with.
