2023年6月29日 · The story from IRM insiders is that WSOR agreed to rebuild 967B in exchange for a lease from IRM in 2007. Rebuild was done with parts from E-unit MARC 91 ex BN 9907. The renumber to WSOR 102 was for the duration of the lease, which expired ~2014. E9B was owned by the Illinois Railway Museum the entire time it was operated by WSOR.

The replacements came in the form of 4 GP38/39s taken from the Wisconsin and Southern, and 2 newly acquired GP59s. This is not the first time WATCO has taken WSOR power away from the class 2, as others have found homes on the Grand Elk and Fox Valley railroads.
