7/31/19 - This is an original Mauser WTP Model 2, chambered for .25 ACP. From the serial number, this pistol is of the second variation. Overall, this particular gun is in very nice condition. We'd rate the bluing about 80%. There is some wear on the high edges throughout and thinning in the finish, mostly on the right side of the slide.

About 17,000 of these Vest Pocket Pistols were produced before the demands of war (and bomb damage) closed the Mauser assembly line. After the wars end, enough parts were found to allow the Factory (now under French management) to produce approximately 1000 of these handy Pistols.

9/21/21 - This is an original Mauser WTP II, third variant, that was made at the end of the 1930s. Roughly 90-92% of the original blue remains, with edge wear on either side of the slide but nice grip straps. Strong, shiny bore. Grips have minor handling wear but no cracks or chips. Mauser banner magazine.

Production of the WTP1 started in the early '20s and ended with around 50K built when the WTP2 was released in 1938. The WTP2 changed the shape of the pistol considerably and is much easier to handle.
