However, as all the schools in Borehamwood changed their education to a three tier system in 1974 when Meryfield became a first school, it can be presumed that this added weight to the amalgamation. In 2000 all county schools in Boreham Wood reverted to the two tier system and Meryfield gained primary school status.

Jul 18, 2001 · I found Borehamwood to be exceptional in the co-operation that always existed among all the schools. We regularly discussed and shared ideas that would benefit all the children in the district, rather than just those in individual schools.

Saturday morning pictures at the cinema that we used to call the Flea Pit. I attended Holmshill school unitl I left in 1965. I remember playing games of hockey at Hillside school that we used to refer to as St. Trinians as we were lucky to escape there without too many injuries.
