Washington has relationships with many characters throughout the Red vs. Blue series. When he first appeared in The Recollection, Wash stayed as distant as he could from everyone he met due to the cold-hearted distrust put in place by the trauma of the Epsilon incident and the death of his friends at Project Freelancer.

Washington is a Freelancer assigned to the Special Operations Recovery Unit, charged with recovering the artificial constructs of dying Freelancers.

Wash and Carolina talking about everyone they lost really hit me by the way. I was balling like a baby thinking about all the friends and family I’ve lost over the years, including my dad and uncle who both used to watch every RvB episode with me, and hearing Wash ask “am I gonna be okay?” was so amazingly felt.
