2020年12月28日 · The "chronological" order to watch it is 1997, then the golden age trilogy and then 2016/2017. Just be Warned that the golden age trilogy kinda covers the same thing as the 1997 anime and that berserk 2016/2017 is seen as taboo by the berserk community because of how bad the CGI is.

2021年9月7日 · Berserk's fanatic here. Start by 1997, is a nice introduction. After that, or even before, Berserk's manga is a must-read. The movies adapting the golden age are cool to watch too. Then if you have some guts, watch 2016. Even tho the CGI is pretty bad, it can still be enjoyable. The second part of 2016 gets better visually.

2021年6月26日 · The 1997 anime is a must. One can not go through the eternal struggle without pairing Berzerk with the sounds of Susumu Hirasawa. Watch the series, not the 3 part movie and as someone else mentioned, start with episode 2, watch episode 1 at the end, it wouldn't make sense, especially if you hadn't already read the manga.

Berserk 1997 is fantastic. I don’t recommend the movies, the animation is hard to stomach… also you may find that the 1997 show might motivate you to want to read the manga, not to mention the art style is probably the best there is manga wise. I won’t give any spoilers but you’ll definitely want more of Guts’ story

Watch the 1997 version or the movies, these show the 2nd arc, which takes place 1st chronologically. After this read the manga. The 2016 version shows the 4th arc, and does a terrible job adapting it.

2022年2月20日 · Otherwise, 1997 anime is better. The movies cut some details if I remember correctly. But, once you're done, you can watch the movies/YouTube clips for a fun recap and great action, with modern animation. ... the new anime follows, but you should skip that tbh.

Hey I just finished too, I watched some of the 2016 ep, and realized I should have started with the 1997 one. but there isn’t enough answered from the 1997 anime to the 2016. The animation is bleh but it’s still a bearable watch for the story line. I’m watching the golden arc on crunchy roll. Seems to be a bridge between the two.
