Oct 13, 2023 · Waukeen's Rest is a timed event. There are two NPCs upstairs you can save, but you have a short amount of time to do it. If you took a rest after arriving, or fast traveled and went somewhere else, or took too long to rescue them, then yes, the NPCs stuck in the burning building will die.

Oct 26, 2021 · Thank you for the fast reply. That really helps. The slow <F5> <F8> dance gets really old after a couple of frustrating and unproductive hours at the same thing. I'll tackle Waukeen when they fix the floor/wall clipping and decide if water is worthy of putting fires out. PS. Larian, otherwise a fantastic game so far!

Aug 25, 2023 · Yes and no. Overall there's no timer. But some places like Waukeen's Rest have triggers and once you trip that trigger a timer starts but until that trigger is tripped there is no timer. Grymforge is another place where there's an encounter where once you trip the trigger (arrive there) a clock starts ticking down. Hope that makes sense.

Sep 2, 2023 · This is a really fucky one. In my current playthrough, I went nowhere near it and it atill triggered. Apparently there are quite a few people that are getting it triggered as early as the dying Mind Flayer on the beach. The Waukeen's Rest area and being timed is incredibly buggy.
