Only lines approved by Webasto may be used as fuel lines. When installing the fuel line make sure that it is kept as short as possible. The line must be protected against damage (e.g. stone chips) in all areas. It is essential that the fuel line is installed in cool areas to avoid bubbles being formed by the effect of heat.

The special fuel line supplied in the kit is the only fuel line approved by Webasto for heater installation. Ensure the fuel line from the metering pump to the heater is not routed in a downward pitch and is secured to the vehicle.

Sep 14, 2021 · The Webasto installation instructions state that fuel lines must not be run adjacent to heat sources, but I'm finding it difficult to connect the fuel line without going near the exhaust which is already in place fitted by the builder. The exhaust has a 4" dia metal conduit over it but from memory it still got quite hot.

Fit a 5mm rubber fuel hose connector to the 5mm outlet pipe on the ‘T’ fitting and secure using a 10mm fuel line hose clip. Connect the heater fuel line to the rubber fuel hose connector ensuring that it is inserted fully.

Jun 12, 2023 · There's no difference in the BSS requirements for fuel lines to engines and those to other appliances. Section 2.10 of the BSS is headed "Fuel feed, return, and on-engine lines" and so the pipe serving a webasto is covered as a 'fuel feed line'.

Jan 3, 2014 · Thanks to Peter, the line to the bottom of the priming pump is the appropriate line. The fuel line coming out of the top by the injectors is the return line, not reliable.

Jun 21, 2021 · Rigid plastic 1/8" tubing serves as the primary fuel line in the system. Rigid tubing resists expansion from pump pulses for more consistent fuel delivery and smoother operation, but it can't be slipped over fittings to make connections. So short sections of 1/4" rubber fuel hose serve as connectors.
