The opening track should set the tone for the album and Beverly Hills is such a unique track on it. The biggest issue with 2000s Weezer is that they could not make consistent albums. If you took the songs from Make Believe to Hurley, cut out the filler, and organized them by mood or themes, you would probably have several really good albums ...

2024年2月18日 · Because it was really popular, specifically with people who normally wouldn’t like Weezer, so snobby Weezer fans didn’t like that. Also Make Believe really was the beginning of Weezer 2.0, where they genre hopped and chased fans, which Raditude was the peak of. I personally enjoy the song.

I also really like Beverly Hills and think it's fun. I think a lot of Weezer fans found it corny and generic, or thought of it as selling out. Ofc Weezer has always essentially been a pop band, but whatever. Also, it got a ton of radio play and that tends to ruin songs for people, or at least it did when people still listened to the radio.

I had a fav Weezer album (Which was Pinkerton) But listening to Red, Maladroit, Make Believe, even EWBAITE I honestly don't know if you can put a best on any Weezer album. It's like every year you grow up, you fall in love with something else.

This thread comes up a lot. I think the reason a lot of people don't like it is because this song is the only reason a lot of people know of weezer. Yeah there are the singles from the Blue album people might know, or maybe Island in the Sun, but even on the radio when I hear them say Weezer is playing somewhere the song they use is Beverly Hills.

love is the answer is the one song i absolutely cannot bare when ever i listen to raditude. beverly hills atleast has the luxury of flowing well and being a catchy song but love is the answer is way too cheesy even for weezer standards.
