2014年2月18日 · I just saw the Wen 4214 12in drill press on line. It looks almost exactly like the Jet except the color. All the features are the same that I can tell except it has a 2/3hp motor - For only $290 Has anyone heard of Wen, its reputation, and quality? I would like to save the $80 but I am completely done purchasing crappy cheep tools.

2024年7月19日 · Wen 4214 12" drill press, bought 2019. 18 months after I bought it, the arbor kept falling out of the spindle. After cleaning with acetone, the arbor stayed in place, so I failed to invoke the warranty -- big mistake. A couple of days ago, the arbor fell while I was drilling a 1/2" hole in 0.22" acrylic (Plexiglas) at 45 degrees.

2022年10月29日 · Wen 4214; about 1/2 hp motor, 3 1/8 quill travel, 580-3200 rpm range. Pros= a nicer depth stop verses HF model, variable speed in nice. Cons=slow rpm is only 580(Forstner bits operate nicer with a slower rpm). HF 38142; 3/4hp motor, 3 1/8" quill travel, 220-3600 rpm range. Pros=3/4hp motor, slower rpm for Forstner bits. I have a HF 12 speed model.

2020年11月24日 · Just ordered the WEN 4214 12-Inch Variable Speed Drill Press off Amazon and I am going to need a decent drill press table/fence to go with it. Seeing as how the drill press itself only costs $240, I don't think it makes a lot of sense to spring for something as fancy as a Woodpecker table/fence...

2012年3月29日 · Actually, JT# is a Jacob Taper #3. Jacobs Taper and Morse Taper are NOT the same. If your drill press calls for a MT3 and you are using a JT3, then that would explain why it keeps falling out.
