2014年6月26日 · That is not what falsifiable means. Falsifiable means that I can conceive of a test that could, feasibly, produce results that would prove the theory wrong, if it is, in fact, incorrect. Falsifiable does not mean that theory is wrong and can therefore be proven wrong. You can have a theory that is both falsifiable and 100% correct.

Anyone wanting to claim that evolutionary science rules out the involvement of deity in natural processes would find it more than a little challenging to formulate an adequate and falsifiable hypothesis for that.

2024年5月27日 · Surely this does not mean the solid state is an “illusion” but that pitch behaves as a viscous liquid rather than as a solid? The solid earth acts like a fluid on the right time scale; the “illusion” would seem to stem from an unrealistic assumption that a solid is infinitely rigid.
