OT sort of: What kind of wild animal poop is this at my feeder?
2012年8月11日 · Well I also have poop in my tray feeder that looks like that - I thought it was squirrels but now I'm not sure as the squirrel scat pictures are not like that. There are multiple "pellets" left in the tray and it's definitely nocturnal I believe.
dirty Fox question - BirdForum
2003年9月1日 · I don't think a fox would care too much if he'd peed in his drinking water to be honest - if it held the scent of another fox then that might be a different matter. The smell is quite pungent and is a clear indication around a dead lamb for instance that a fox has been feeding (though not neccessarily being the killer) on the carcass.

2005年3月23日 · Okay I just talked to the Biology professor down the hall. She got a kick out of the picture and suggested that this is most likely a mammal with worms. The worms were expelled in the poo and the tube like structures are the casting left after the worms devoured the poo.

tufts that look like little ears - BirdForum
2004年7月12日 · We recently tinted our windows and are amazed at the viewing opportunities this has opened up to us. Among them is this sparrow sized fella who looks like he has ears! He has two little tufts positioned on his cap that look much like cat ears. I KNOW THEY ARE NOT ACTUALLY EARS. While somewhat similar to a Fox Sparrow, it isn't a match.

Blackbird carrying droppings in beak then leaving in/on
2007年5月20日 · After exmining what they do, i found out that they carry the droppings from their nest to the pools and also this year i found 3 dead baby birds in my pool as well. It looks like anything that they don't want in the nest weather it is droppings or dead babies, they carry them in their mouth and they drop them in or around my pool.
Best Binoculars for Star Gazing? - 11/18/24 | BirdForum
2024年11月18日 · Finding objects in the sky is like finding a needle in a haystack. In other words, very difficult. With its much narrower FOV, the Skymaster 20x80 would not be as good as the DX 12x56 binoculars for observing wider angle views of the night sky like you want to do. If you got the Skymaster 20x80, you will need the heavier tripod linked below.

Can or do birds like skins? E.G banana, potato - BirdForum
2010年12月31日 · But the wildlife charity now has proof that some birds like bananas too, with a variety of birds on one of its nature reserves scoffing down bunches at a time courtesy of a local supermarket. Birds like moorhens, ducks and skylarks at Saltholme, the wildlife reserve and discovery park run by the RSPB, have been enjoying leftover bananas donated ...
