2024年2月20日 · Touchpad keeps turning itself off. Every time I restart my computer I have to go to settings and re-enable my touchpad because for some reason it keeps turning off automatically. This issue started very randomly a few days ago and I'm not sure what I should do other than keep turning it back on constantly.

I type with my wrists down, and this ends up deleting tons of text, moving my cursors insertion point while typing, and even deleting files because they get highlighted when I am pressing buttons.

2016年8月3日 · It randomly stops working every few minutes and the only way to start it working again is to use Fn+F7 to turn the pad off and back on again. It gets worse when the laptop is busy. I'm no expert, but to me, its like the laptop isn't allocating the mouse enough resources or like the mouse has a lower priority process or something like that.

2015年8月12日 · I'm haven't upgraded to Win10 yet, but I'm guessing that the PC is shutting it off to save power. If you open the device manager, right click the touchpad and select 'properties'. Then click the "Power Management" tab - if there's a check in the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power", uncheck it.
