I despise the Daisy scam award lol. Was created for such a noble cause but to be honest, everywhere I have worked it has been manipulated and a joke. Weaponized by corrupt healthcare corporations and a popularity contest. Yuck. I love my wilted Daisy award.

2023年8月30日 · I received the award when I was a new grad, about the same time as when you were nominated at one hospital. I have been nominated a few more times, and one nomination was a beautifully written letter by parents detailing how I cared for them and their little one. I cried when I got to read it, I didn’t receive the award that time though.

Most of the nurses I know that have gotten daisy awards are the shitiest nurses. They spend ungodly amounts of time sucking up to certain patients and then staple the daisy form to their discharge paperwork. Meanwhile I am taking care of my patients and theirs. Fuck daisy awards
