4 天之前 · Our Guided Golf Cart tours will transport you on an open-air electric golf cart on a private wind farm back in time 40 years ago to the present. The tour will encompass the successes and failures exhibited by inventors and engineers at the beginning of the “Wind Rush” in the 80’s to the modern sleek designs we see today.

Self-Driving Wind Farm Tour. You will need your own vehicle for this tour, which uses an app to guide you through ten marked destinations on and around the first commercial wind farm in Southern California. RVs and coaches over 28 feet are not allowed on the wind farm. Sprinters 28 ft or less are permitted.

The App is a curated audio tour that guides you along ten stops on our farm, the first including several historical artifacts. The tour starts at our Tour Center where we offer a 15-minute video and exhibits on wind energy.

Our Guided Tours will take your group on a journey on a private wind farm on our electric golf cart. The tours are one hour and 15 min include a video at the tour center prior to the tour. We ask you arrive promptly on time.

We will provide one or more knowledgeable tour guides to make a brief presentation, including the history of our wind farm and the evolution of wind turbines, and answer questions about wind energy and our energy mix in the area.
