ELI5: Why was Windows ME so horrible? : r/explainlikeimfive - Reddit
Windows ME was the last version in the Windows 9x series of operating systems, which had been out for a long time and were starting to look dated. Subsequently, there was quite a lot of new stuff that Microsoft wanted to add to this verson which hadnt been considered when the architecture was originally designed.
Who used Windows Me? I'm too young for this OS... - Reddit
2022年7月23日 · A good, capable one and a shoddy, incompetent one. Windows 98 and XP were good releases and Windows ME were (uh) less good. Further on, I hoped never to See Vista, but 7 was excellent. Windows 8 was beneath contempt while 10 (no 9) was good and was hinted at being the final version, with all changes as free updates.

2020年9月14日 · "Is it possible to Add the Windows 2000 SP4 USB stack and USB 2.0 to a windows nt 4.9 that have sp6 but no usb support?" Yes on Windows ME, with the USB 2.0 stack installer (the stack in it is the Windows 2000 SP4) bundled with 98SE USP 3. Windows Me, 20 Years Later: Was It Really That Bad? : r/windows
2020年9月15日 · Windows 95 version B (OSR2) and later was a bit better but Windows 95 and 95 A were horrible. If not for games it was better to just use NT 4 at the time. The same reason we would either use 98 SE or Windows 2000 over ME. Or 98 SE over XP until later services packs were available for it.
