So I keep growing my beard to the same point time and time again, a good two months in (it grows quickly) until I'm forced to trim because it's become so wiry that it's practically standing on end, and beard oil seems to have no effect. I've watched the videos and bought some conditioner and a comb but they honestly seem to have no effect.
How do I tame a wiry beard? It doesn’t want to listen.
2020年7月7日 · Like you I have a very wiry beard. I tried some conditioners that made it softer for sure but didn’t offer anything in the way of straightening it. Then I bought some electric beard straighteners of Amazon. Not expensive at all. They work brilliantly. Takes not much practice and after 10 or so minutes you have a much straighter beard.

I substitute the oil for a balm when it starts to get longer because I noticed that works better than increasing the amount of oil I use. That seems to soften it for a little bit but it’s still wiry, it drys out a few hours later, and feels oily if I apply more.

2023年9月13日 · Beard butter would be my runner up though, it’s helped my beard a lot. The only products I use are beard oil, beard wash, beard conditioner and beard butter. Beard oil is necessary because it keeps the skin underneath the beard from drying out and becoming itchy, flaky, irritated and therefore also prevents acne.

2020年4月5日 · In my opinion, the curly, wiry beards are the ones that look the most awesome. With that said, because it is very curly it will take about 2 or 3 months extra to reach a length that someone that has a wavy or straight beard will achieve.

2023年5月22日 · Any time my beard gets any length to it, it gets very wiry and hard to manage. I brush it out as much as I can every morning, but I still have hairs sticking up and going against the flow pretty often. I’d like to grow it out more, but I just don’t know what to do to make it work.
