WQ-beam is a welded torsionally rigid box profile, whose height equals the height of hollow core slabs or thin shell slabs. The Letter W means welded and letter Q describes the shape of the profile. It consists of plates which are short blasted and flame-cut according to the dimensions. After that it is welded together using arc welding equipment.
