2010年5月12日 · Nice work. The reel seats look like they started out as Alps triangle seats. Would have been cool if the milling on the hood went the other way so it would make an "X". Silver seat, silver reel. Charkbait has been running a special on Avets, couple of silver SX lever drags would look really nice on them especially if you like machined aluminum.

2014年4月23日 · Fetha-Styx is now X-Rods. Same company, different name. Don't know the whys about that. However, owner, Jim Mercer, confirmed that he will continue to honor Fetha-Styx lifetime warranty. Jim builds on a variety of blanks from different sources, so you really need to know what blank you are considering.

2000年8月9日 · I am a proud owner of a few of Jim's rods. I say "proud" because of the performance, quality workmanship and care he puts in his rods. I will continue to fish them with pride, the way he built them. Sometimes things don't work out the way we hope for all kinds of reasons. I don't know about you guys, but for me people aren't disposable.
