2022年2月4日 · Power=volts*amps, so the amps are limited, the X5 won't use more than 16A. So, doubling the voltage at the same amperage means double the power going in. The EVSE is a smart (sort of) on/off switch...the actual charging is entirely in the X5. You can think of the EVSE as a fancy extension cord to plug it into power.

I have a 2021 X5 45e. I've had it in the shop twice for "DriveTrain Malfunction" message. First time they changed the spark plugs, next time they said it was the high voltage battery, but when they checked the battery they said it was working fine, so they basically did nothing. Now on 8/4/2023, the message came on again.

2023年2月26日 · I just purchased my X5 45e and I hope to get it around the end of March. From what I’ve read the charger supplied with the car will take 17 hours to fully charge a depleted battery. That charger is operating at a 10amp output. There are other chargers that you can use on a 110 volt 20 amp line that have a 16 amp output.

2024年4月25日 · On the 45e, you can tell the vehicle to maintain a charge level between 30-100%. If the level is above that, it operates as normally as it can. Once it reaches the current setting, it acts like the battery is depleted, but that does not mean it does not get some EV action, it’s just that you may not be able to drive it fully in EV mode.
