2013年3月30日 · Now the xds the 45 has 6 rounds and the 9mm has 8 that two round difference is a substantial difference bc the xds is a lower capacity pistol. Also there will be more noticeable recoil between the xds 9 and 45 when compared to full size or compact xdms.

2013年5月20日 · That would mean all you needed for an XDs 45 conversion would be a XDs 9mm barrel/recoil spring/and magazine. That would be like the Sig 250, which can be converted to a 45acp, 9mm, 40 S&W by simply ordering a caliber conversion kit.

2013年6月2日 · The 9mm XDS has a longer spring section than the 45. Yes I said the 9mm spring is bigger. Why you ask. The 45acp is a longer cartridge and has to be just a little shorter to allow the slide to move back just a little bit more than the 9mm. The 9mm XDS barrel will fit in the 45XDS slide but it will not lock and is unsafe to shot it this way.

2013年6月1日 · I just got my xds 9mm and put in a 200 rnd range session with whitebox Winchester 115gr 100rnd packs. I had 5 failure to feeds in 200 rounds. I wiped and lubed the gun before hitting the range but did not do a full cleaning.

2017年4月8日 · The XDS pretty well comes with anything it needs in my opinion. It is not a target gun, not a long distance gun, not a competition gun. It was designed for up close in person protection. No need to turn "Glock Head" and spend $1,000 on a simple point and shoot defense weapon. Just my 2 cents.

2013年6月17日 · Good stuff here, dont have an xds! Thanks! I agree with using snap caps for extensive dry firing, and someone else mentioned some revolvers. I knew the OP was talking about xds 9mm, which I dont have, but in hindsight should have qualified my response with MODERN centerfire pistols are fine to dry fire with no concern! OP- enjoy your xds!

2012年8月7日 · The velocity of 230gr. bullets come out of the XDS just a very small amount slower than it would out of a 5" barrel. Just get standard pressure defense ammo and you're GTG. I like +P when it comes to lighter rounds like 9mm and .38spl, but for the bigger or heavier bullets (even some heavier 9mm & 38spl) standard pressure is fine.

2016年4月5日 · I was shocked when I handled it because I'd handled one long, long before purchasing the XDS. I was devastated. If someone wanted to trade me straight up for my XDS, IWB holster, IWB mag holster, Talon grips, LG-469 laser for a similarly equipped M&P Shield in 9mm or .40 I'm rather certain I'd bite. Hell, I might pay a dime or two.

I selected the XDS 9mm 3.3" after watching many reviews from seasoned shooters hit amazing groups at greater than self defense distances. I have honed my skills to be able to effectively fire a full mag, any capacity, inside of a 2" group at 7, 10, and 12 yards.
