The Heckler & Koch XM8 is a lightweight assault rifle system developed from the late 1990s to early 2000s. The rifle was designed by German small arms manufacturer Heckler & Koch (H&K), and shares design and engineering with their G36 rifle.

The XM29 OICW (Objective Individual Combat Weapon) was a series of prototypes of a new type of assault rifle that fired 20 mm HE airbursting projectiles. The prototypes were developed as part of the Objective Individual Combat Weapon program in the 1990s.

2016年6月14日 · Called the "Davy Crockett", it was a 155mm caliber tactical nuclear recoilless gun in the standard M28 or longer-range M29 launch body firing the M388 nuclear projectile. The launcher piece was developed at the Rock Island Arsenal and the W54 warhead was developed at Los Alamos and the Atomic Energy Commission.

The system is known to have four standard A variants, the M28/A1-A3. However, the actual specifics between variants is vague. The available information suggests that specific variants were mated to specific iterations of the AH-1 helicopter. The initial XM28/M28 were fitted to the AH-1G, as were the M28E1/M28A1.

The Heckler & Koch XM8 is a modular assault rifle system designed by Heckler & Koch. Originally conceived as the assault rifle portion of the XM29 OICW, the XM8 was designed in 2002 as a possible replacement for the M4 carbine and M16 rifle series and is heavily based on Heckler & Koch's G36 rifle series.

A photo found at the Watervliet Arsenal museum shows the XM28 120mm recoilless gun with a warhead attached. Note, however, that while the XM28 is pretty much what was actually put into production and fielded, the warhead is entirely different to the actual M388 warhead.

The XM28E4 “Grasshopper” Riot Control gas mask is a scarce mask made famous during the latter stages of the Vietnam War, when CS gas was used to flush out the Vietcong from their underground tunnels. This example is in great shape with some cracking to the right eyepiece.
