2018年12月12日 · They are not the same (comparable) products and connect be directly compared. Xpel is a “plastic” like material the resists chip and scratch damage. Ceramic Pro is more of a super wax coating making the car much easier to clean. Some folks do both. Personally, I went with Ceramic Pro alone.

2020年10月17日 · 3M guys will say XPEL will yellow. XPEL guys will say 3M will yellow. Learned that much while calling around yesterday. Also 3M seems to be cheaper. I personally am choosing XPEL because I have that on my other car and like it.

2019年8月13日 · 1. Touchless wash ok (double check with installer for length of time after install) Exposed lines shouldn’t be an issue if Xpel was installed correctly. 2. You can ceramic coat over Xpel or use many of the washes recommenced in the forums such as optimum no rinse and others. 3. You shouldn’t need bug and tar remover.

2018年7月2日 · I'm also down to sunbusters or xpel. Pinnacle or xpel xr. Heard good things about both but I'm a bit ocd. I like the gaps on the side windows to be minimal or non existent. Sunbusters uses a plotter exclusively and won't hand cut while xpel told me they will hand cut as I request to get the tint as close to the edge as possible.

2018年5月7日 · - Xpel is extremely forgiving. Keep the material VERY wet with slip solution and rewet often. Keep the Xpel wet on BOTH sides constantly. - Don't overstretch and don't panic. With lots of slip solution, Xpel can recover if it sticks to itself or be removed and repositioned pretty well. - Lint, dirt, and hairs are the worst.

2019年10月5日 · I'll take some of that! We had both our Model 3 and our Roadster done with XPEL. We went with XPEL Stealth on our 3 and XPEL Ultimate Plus on our Roadster and are very happy with both! We had the PPF applied at Exotik Designs in Sparks, Nv. Great products! View attachment 463699

2017年3月21日 · Xpel Prime XR supposedly has more of a bluish tint, like the way 3M Crystalline does. I have 3M Crystalline on other vehicles, and I definitely notice the bluish tint. XR Black is supposed to have a charcoal tint. Both Prime XR and XR Black at 70% have the same Total Solar Energy Rejection (TSER) at 49%.

2023年1月28日 · XPEL has a stronger adhesive and is a little thicker than Suntek Ultra. However Suntek has slightly less orange peel and some think more clear. I have used both and I go back to XPEL Ultimate as Suntek Ultra is the only film that I have had issues with film coming off in the car wash as the adhesive just isn't as strong as XPEL or even 3M.

2015年7月22日 · I had a full Xpel ultimate wrap on my P85D for about $4k in Portland, OR (no sales tax) by one of the better shops. The shops in Seattle wanted $7-8k. No way, thank you very much. In terms of Xpel vs others films, IIRC Xpel is slightly thinner than the others and therefore maybe easier to to wrap around the car edges.
