Install XCP-ng | XCP-ng Documentation
In your TFTP root directory (eg /tftp), create a folder named xcp-ng. Copy the mboot.c32 and pxelinux.0 files from the installation media to the TFTP root directory. From the XCP-ng installation media, copy the files install.img (from the root directory), vmlinuz, and xen.gz (from the /boot directory) to the new xcp-ng directory on the TFTP server.

XCP-ng is a high performance enterprise level virtualization platform with a rich ecosystem, that can be integrated in an entire stack to do management and backup for it (see Xen Orchestra section for that). XCP-ng stands for Xen Cloud Platform - next generation: it is the modern successor to XCP, initially created as an Open Source version of Citrix XenServer back in 2010.

2020年11月18日 · XCP-ng 8.2.1 was released as a maintenance update for XCP-ng 8.2 LTS, which has its own version number because it also comes with updated installation images. XCP-ng 8.2.1 is still XCP-ng 8.2 LTS. It's the same, that just reached a new numbered milestone.

2024年10月7日 · Official support for PV guests stopped with the release of XCP-ng 8.1, on 2020-03-31, but 64-bit PV guests still ran on XCP-ng 8.2.1 despite the deprecation. XCP-ng hosts support VLANs in multiple ways. VLANs for VMs Switch ports configured as 802.1Q VLAN trunk ports can be used with XCP-ng VLAN features to connect guest virtual network interfaces (VIFs) to specific VLANs. In this case, XCP-ng server performs the VLAN tagging/untagging functions for the guest, which is unaware of any VLAN configuration.
