2014年1月29日 · Concerning XeCl3- and its polarity (If it is polar) and Vsepr structure I know that XeCl3- has 3 atoms surrounding Xe as well as 3 lone pairs. I tried to find a shape for this octahedral vsepr structure, but apparently the limit for lone pairs on an octahedral is 2.

2016年8月19日 · I put the Xe atom in the middle with one electron and put the three Cl's around the Xe each with 7 electrons in their outer shell, I tried various arrangements of the seven electrons in each of the Cls, I tried single dative bonds, covalent double bonds etc and I also tried Xe2Cl6-2 but I couldn't get all the atoms to have full outer shells
