Feb 1, 2023 · This office has two Xerox printers - an AltaLink C8045 and a WorkCentre 6515DN. They both have YSoft SAFEQ installed on them. The network at the previous office was decommissioned before the IP addresses on the printers could be updated to the new IP range, subnet mask and gateway. Now the printers are at the new location.

That said, I've had issues doing this even with static IP addresses, in which case it may be necessary to restart the computer (even turning Wi-Fi off and on doesn't help).

Replacing a main drive you have to take everything off the left side of the machine and unwire every component and then move the wire harness itself without stressing the wires or breaking any. Call a xerox tech or if you don’t have a contract buy a new printer.

Jul 20, 2022 · Xerox support is a joke. Even if you want to order the scanner unit wich cost more than another whole MFP from another manufacturer good luck finding where to get one. Xerox said they have none in stock for months. Personally I'll never buy Xerox again. I'll subscribe to this post as I'm curious if you manage to repair it.

Feb 19, 2024 · So my end-user's Xerox B225 MFP is connected to the PC via USB. Xerox Smart Start isn't detecting the printer, and when I click on Advanced - they ask for the printer hostname or IP address... and they surely can't add a printer manually via the 'Windows Add Printer Wizard' as it requires the hostname and IP address.
