2013年7月24日 · Re: xinit: unable to connect to X server: connection refused Rather than the whole log, you could post pacman -Qs virtualbox to identify what packages you claimed to have installed. However, copying and grepping your logs reveals the problem.
Openbox, startx vs xinit. - Arch Linux Forums
2008年4月28日 · xinit is more versatile because it can call DE's/WMs without an .xinitrc in ~/ or /etc/X11/xinit/, by merely specifying it, as you are doing with 'xinit /usr/bin/openbox-session'. EDIT: Note that you must specify the path to the WM. Otherwise, xinit ignores the arguments after it, and simply runs the .xinitrc script.

[SOLVED] xinit/startx through SSH? / Applications & Desktop ...
2013年4月6日 · Re: [SOLVED] xinit/startx through SSH? Yeah, it's definitely fixed. xinit: unexpected signal 15 - Arch Linux Forums
2021年11月16日 · Also, why xinit would call two common signals used for shutting it down "unexpected" is a bit silly. But then so is all of xinit (but not nearly as silly as startx). Last edited by Trilby (2022-11-10 14:40:17)
Confused about ~/.xinitrc / Newbie Corner / Arch Linux Forums
2020年5月24日 · The wiki suggests I add a certain line to either a ~/.xinitrc or ~/.xprofile, but I'm having some difficulty understanding what that is. My system uses the xinit in /etc/X11/xinit and I would like to configure things their so that Ibus will start for all users upon login, but heres where I get confused about what exactly I'm looking for.
[SOLVED] xinit: connection to X server lost - Arch Linux Forums
2023年2月27日 · So everything is as expected. You asked Xorg to do nothing, and it happily obliged and accurately said it exited successfully. Generally one would run a window manager at the end of their xinitrc (or at least some client program to keep the connection alive). Follow the wiki page on xinit / startx.
Xinit not working (setting up gnome) / Installation / Arch Linux …
2012年4月2日 · Re: Xinit not working (setting up gnome) Think of it this way: you use root to configure and change the system, so to install packages and use pacman you're going to use root; you should use a normal user account for running "normal" things, for work, for fun, for internet, etc etc.
