It can output up to 192KHz/24-bit 5.1 surround sound or stereo and S/PDIF out separately. For Skype or game-chat it also has microphone input, and packs a headphone amp for good measure.

I'm mainly interested to pair with an Modmic Uni and a Samson SR850 and therefore to get better audio from my microphone. Is it a good pair or should I just buy a simple cheap USB audio dongle ?

Just received the card tonight and after testing with my 5.1 gaming speaker setup....very disappointed. subwoofer works but you have to enable "upmix" feature which then upmixes the stereo channel to all 5.1 channels - sending music to the center channel an surrounds - sounds rather shitty, with reverb and delay the music sounds muddy.

2023年7月5日 · The ones that seem to be mostly recommended are the Xonar U5 or U7. Do I need the U7, or is it overkill? there is only a $30 priced diff. Can I for example add 2 self driving downward firing speakers to the U7 for atmos? what else do I need? Im assuming that I plug a toslink cable between the Xonar and the z906, correct?

2021年3月6日 · I connected my Xonar U5 to my PC, it showed up and I could play stereo sound through 2 of my 5.1 speakers. I installed the most recent drivers (1.0.14), and now I can't play any audio, in Device Manager I can see there's a problem. Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device.
