2010年10月4日 · Testing out many different XviD settings, I still have problems deciding on the 1pass or 2pass method. So far I am settling on 1pass Quantizer 4 setting. What I want to know is, what the Quantizer setting really means; my understanding is that it sets the Quality (and bitrate, etc. are varied to meet the criterion)

2010年4月16日 · No, there are no "standard" frame sizes in Xvid. But you should stick with mod16 (integer multiples of 16) whenever possible. Or at least Mod8. Most Divx/DVD players will not play Divx/Xvid files over 720 pixels wide or 576 pixels tall. So stick with sizes below that.

2017年12月19日 · To whom this may interest, here goes my test build of the latest Xvid. No bloat, no DirectShow decoder, only the VFW codec && the infamous xvid_encraw. MAX_ZONES was set to 8192 If you're still using XP, right-clicking the .INF file should be sufficient. If you're running 64-bit Windows, then run the .CMD file as administrator.

2007年8月13日 · Edit: I'd actually recommend installing the regular Xvid codec over using ffdshow to decode Xvid (just follow the automatic link above), but I can't be sure if that would clash with any of the codec packs you've installed. Also, are you sure you want to be using an older version of VirtualDub? The latest versions are 1.6.19 and 1.7.2 experimental.
