The Y4C hub is housed at the University of Dar es Salaam College of ICT, and was established in collaboration between UDSM-COICT and UNICEF Tanzania signed on September 2016. We train youths on how they can apply human centered design (hcd) to innovate sustainable solutions.

The Youth For Children (Y4C) Innovation Hub is a convening and training space to promote child rights and invest in open innovation by young people that contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Y4C hub provides unique value in its emphasis on human centered design (HCD) and challenge- driven approaches where projects are directly linked to solving real challenges facing the society.

UNICEF partners with the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in Tanzania to establish the youth for children (Y4C), which targets university students between 20-24 years of age. Y4C provides technological resources, design workshops, trainings and skill-based seminars to enhance the leadership and innovation capacity of young people in Tanzania.
