YN55 is the base caliber number and YN55A is the first version. As of this post, there is only a YN55 A iteration, therefore, YN55 is the same as YN55A. Accuracy of the calibre YN55A is said to be within -25 seconds to +35 seconds per day.

They claim that both are Seiko movements and, as the link below asserts, the YN55A is, in fact, a better movement.

They actually have impressed me quite a bit with how accurately they keep time. I figure I have 2 San Martins of different styles with the movement and they both run within +5s per day consistently so I doubt it's a fluke.

2021年12月17日 · Version 2 appears to be partially caused by the pandemic shutting down Malaysian production of the NH35 movement. It now has the Epson YN55a movement and its accuracy has not impressed me. The best accuracy I've seen is using the 12 o'clock up resting position, which results in +11 seconds/day. Dial up resting position is +18 seconds/day.
