YPFDJ (Young People’s Front for Democracy and Justice) is a continuation of the youth arm of the EPLF’s Mass Organization that supported the Eritrean struggle during the revolution. The intended goal of YPFDJ is to build a strong, conscious and patriotic Eritrean youth movement from abroad and within the country.

YPFDJ has existed in the Bay Area since 2008. Currently, our local chapter serves the Eastern San Francisco Bay Area including Alameda and Contra Costa counties. The East Bay contains one of the highest concentrations of Eritreans in the United States and our members include a variety of young Eritreans from various backgrounds.
