2013年7月14日 · The bike above is def a 1980 YZ50. The 82-83 YZ60 are totally different, with their engines being essentially sleeved down 81 YZ80s. Different plastic, safety seat, tank etc. As far as what a nice 82-83 YZ60 is worth (responding to mxnick)...it depends on who is buying. I've seen restored/preserved ones on ebay with BIN of $2,000 - $2,500.

2018年7月19日 · I don't know MXA's source but i have a really good source that says Yamaha is working on a YZ50 that they are hoping will take over the KTM dominated 50 classes....Possibly by 2020, but we will see.....Yamaha is working to revive the mini programs and get the youth back on Blue, evidence being an all new YZ65 and the updates to the YZ85 for 2019

2012年2月8日 · I need to get a piston for my YZ50. There are some on eBay, but I'm always leary purchasing engine parts there. ProX sells a piston kit for the DT50's. Knowing Yamaha's eagerness to recycle parts, I'm curious if this piston will work.I checked the part numbers and they are the same except the first three digits which I think is the model code.

I also have a nce 1980 YZ50 , a nice low hour1980 CR80 (purchased from the original owner) that I added a gold DG arm to, a cobby looking but complete and running RM60 (with a few NOS plastics) and a NOS still in the original bos DG gold radial head for an RM50.
