2003年5月8日 · Given the FT-102 is HF only and the FT-100D is DC-to Light (almost) all mode... a $400 value in todays market is comparitively good. Not Collins, but like Collins, Yaesu, Icom, et al, classic rigs will fall into a "classic" status as time goes by. I saw a Ten-Tec Triton 4 at my last hamfest that was pristine.

2017年2月23日 · If you are thinking of adding a new radio to your shack or mobile check out this video on the new Yaesu FT-891! It is my opinion that you can't go wrong with the FT-891. I found it easy to set up, has great sound. Yaesu has even enlarged the display from what was on the FT-857D! The FT-891 is replacing my FT-857D in my mobile.

2018年7月2日 · The first was the lack of a sound card interface. There seems to have been some mis-communication between Yaesu Japan and Yaesu USA, because there were strong hints that this radio would incorporate a sound card for digital modes. Had Yaesu done that the 891 would have been a giant killer. But no, USB is there only for rig control.

2024年11月14日 · why don't Yaesu change the Yaesu FTX-1F HF/50/144/430MHz so it runs 100 watts on the HF/6 meter bands, 2 meter at 50 watts and 440 at 40 watts with this so called new technology for weak signal on the HF bands. Also have both Digital and analog APRS with the GPS built in to show an actual improvement over the FT-857D that used to be made.

2018年12月16日 · My Yaesu FT7800R has a similar procedure with powerdown/button press to enter programming mode, so this part I'm used to. So - it seems unnecessary to have to remove the battery to engage programming - unless powering off the radio doesn't fully remove all voltage from the board which might explain battery drain when the radio is off.
