2013年7月24日 · I'm in a bit of a pickle deciding between the 12's and 15's of Yamaha's DXR range. I hear that the 15s have enough low end to do most small and medium venues without subs, which would be real nifty. However, two things bother me... I've always heard that one loses mid crispness going to a 15" from 12".

2014年10月1日 · My opinion is the direct opposite of Rod's for what it is worth. I have owned 2 yamaha DXR 12's for 2 years and have been using them live with my Kemper, and I bought them after trying everything else under 900 bucks a piece or so. The QSC to ME is one of the most annoying sounding monitors I used with the kemper when demoing out FRFR solutions.

2017年6月18日 · I've owned the DXR12's and now have several QSC K10's. I agree with the consensus that 10's are far handier. They're quite a bit more compact but only barely less useful. Far better for practice room use due to size. Great as monitors or mains over a sub.

2016年11月22日 · I went with a pair of DXR10's and they are terrific with the Helix! I opted for the smaller and lighter weight DXR10 over the bulkier DXR12. They can get very loud if needed. And, through the end of September Yamaha is runnng a Rebate Program on most of the models.

2022年8月20日 · I've have 5 Yamaha DXR12 speakers that have worked flawlessly for over 10 years now performing every single week. I'm with molusuman on this. There's some setup you've done with those DBR's that's likely the culprit. As far as wattage, that's pretty much meaningless in terms of volume when dealing with modern DSP driven powered speakers.

2020年6月16日 · If prices makes sense in your area, RCF Art 712 MkIV are an excellent alternative to Yamaha DXR12, or 10" versions (imho RCF ART 7xx are even a little better and more powerful than Yamaha DXR**) but the RCF speakers do not have any eq adjustment on the rear panel, so they aren't a good choice in case you want to use them as a wedge monitor, too.
