2013年12月31日 · 586 no dash production year Hi all, Woud appreciate an indication of the year of manufacture of me recently acquired 586-no dash, 6". It is in pretty good shape, unfortunately without box. But I been searchign for one for over 2 years, and jsut could not pass this one up. Serial number is ADM9007. 2018年4月2日 · Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! Your 586 was made in 1986 or 1987. Our table of serial numbers doesn't specifically call out the aun prefix, but aum is 1986. I would say the range of $550 to $650 is pretty good valuation for those guns. Of course, condition is all important and the correct grips will not subtract value. Guy

2019年10月6日 · Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! That 586 Target Champion is quite a scarce gun. S&W only made them 1 year in the 586-1 configuration. After that, they were called the Silhouette model. Is the serial prefix AVV? Do you have the box with the product code?

2019年10月24日 · Hi all, I have a nickel 586 no dash with a 6” barrel that I’m trying to figure out the manufacture date and age. The serial number is AEM65xx. Any help/info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

2023年1月10日 · I agree with the above, the 586 can be found in nickel finish. Then again also S&W made models is various other finishes in certain numbers of runs. We used to have an active member here years ago that had either an 586 or a 686 that was in IIRC he claimed night satin finish and it was a black finish.

2021年9月24日 · That is a very nice looking 586. I am guessing but I think you are correct on the manufacture date. I would think late 1980 or early 1981 maybe. Hopefully someone will chime in with a more precise date for you. If per chance that you would have the original box it would gave the shipping date on the end label. Congrats on a great acquisition. The pinned barrel and recessed cylinders were being phased out in other models about the same time the 586/686 were introduced. 2009年10月16日 · In 1987 They came out with the 586-2 and offered this sight Package until The 586-3 which came out in 1988 and in 1992 in the same dash series that ended that year, they deleted the 4 Position sight before making the 586-4 series in 1993.
